Pizza from the Heart of the City
As an all around New York native, I grew up both in the city and the Adirondack Mountains where I finished school and went to college. During that time I was lucky enough to become involved in wood fired pizza in Saranac Lake, when times were tough and I just needed any job I could get. Coincidentally, I loved it so much that whenever I saw a wood oven I jumped at the chance to taste the menu and even work with the chefs themselves. After working at several places upstate, I moved back to my original home in Queens, NY and worked for 8 years with various pizza projects as I played in a notoriously rowdy punk band. My pizza creation is a culmination of old world flavors and values and new school pirate attitude and intensity.
